Signing in
Sign in
Section titled “Sign in”Open VoDialer, enter your email and password, and press Sign in. Your first screen depends on your role: managers and reviewers open Home, agents open the desk.
If you have forgotten your password, ask your account owner to reset it. See the note at the end of this page.
Choose a new password
Section titled “Choose a new password”If an admin gave you a temporary password, VoDialer opens “Choose a new password” right after you sign in. Nothing else opens until you finish it.
- Type the temporary password into Temporary password.
- Type your own into New password. Use at least 12 characters.
- Type it again, then press Save new password.
You can press Sign out instead to leave without changing it. To change your password later, open Your account and press Change password. That signs you out on every other device.
Too many wrong passwords
Section titled “Too many wrong passwords”After 5 wrong passwords, that email is locked for 60 seconds. Each further wrong password doubles the wait, up to 1 hour. The Sign in button shows a countdown, for example “Try again in 42 s”. Wait it out. Each internet address also has its own, higher limit.
How long you stay signed in
Section titled “How long you stay signed in”A session lasts 12 hours from your last activity, so it keeps going while you work. After 12 idle hours you sign in again. Changing your password, or an admin resetting it or disabling you, ends sessions at once.
Switching company
Section titled “Switching company”If you work in more than one company, the company name at the top is a menu. Open it, choose Switch company, and pick one. A message says “Now working in” and the company name. Your role can differ in each company.
Two-step sign-in
Section titled “Two-step sign-in”Two-step sign-in asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app, as well as your password. It is optional for company users and mandatory for platform operators.
How it works:
- Enrol. VoDialer gives you a secret to add to your authenticator app, and 10 recovery codes. They are shown once, so store them somewhere safe.
- Confirm. You type the first code from the app. Only then does two-step sign-in turn on.
- From then on, every sign-in asks for a code. A recovery code works instead of a code, and each recovery code works once.
Wrong codes are limited the same way as passwords: 5 wrong codes lock you for 60 seconds, doubling up to 1 hour. Even the right code waits.
If you lose your app and your recovery codes, a platform owner resets your two-step sign-in. A company admin cannot do it. See two-step sign-in.
