Company and clients

Company profile

Open Setup, then Company. Under Settings you can change the Company name (2 to 80 characters). It is shown at the top of every screen and to people you add. The Web address name is fixed. Press Save.

Client accounts

A client account is a separate company inside VoDialer, with its own people, campaigns, numbers and data. Agencies use it to run calls for their own clients. The product calls it a sub-account.

Do this

1. Open Setup, then Company.
2. Under Client accounts, press New client account. Only the company’s owner sees it.
3. Enter Client name and press Make the account.

You become its owner. It starts empty. A client account cannot have client accounts of its own.

Switch companies

Press the company name at the top of the screen and pick one under Switch company. You see the role you hold in each. You can also press Switch to it next to a client account. You then work in that company. The live view reconnects for it. People with accounts in several companies use the same menu.

Suspend and resume

The owner of the parent company can press Suspend next to a client account. Everyone in it is signed out, every running campaign is paused and no more people are handed out for calling. Calls already up are not dropped, and nothing is deleted.

Resume lets people sign in again. Campaigns stay paused until someone starts them. If some campaigns could not be paused, you see “Some campaigns could not be paused. Suspend again to retry.”

Client viewer

The Client viewer role is for your client’s staff. It is read-only. A client viewer sees Today, campaigns and results, and live totals only. Phone numbers show as the last four digits, and birth dates are hidden. They cannot start, pause or change anything.

Usage and cost

Open Setup, then Usage and cost. Choose a month. You see This month so far, then totals for AI voice, call time, billable transfers, list checks and quality reviews, then By campaign and By day. Press the small i beside a figure for what it counts. You can download the month as a file.

The cost covers the AI voice only. Your carrier bills its own charges, and they are not in this figure. See usage and charges.

Lead vendors

A vendor is who sold or sent you a list. There is no Setup page for vendors. When you add a list, Who sold or sent it to you? lets you pick one, or choose Add a new vendor and type a name. Reports can then be split by vendor. See adding a list.

What “client” means in campaigns

In a campaign, client is the business you call for. In the new campaign form it is For which client (optional). It lets you filter campaigns and reports by For client. It is a label, not a separate company.

Note

Two different things are called “client”. A client account is a separate workspace. A campaign’s client is only a name on the campaign. The screens have no page to create campaign clients today. They are made through the API, and campaigns pick from the list.
