Bots overview
A bot is the AI voice that makes or takes part of a call. You write what it says and how it sounds. The product adds fixed honesty rules on top, which you cannot remove (see honesty rules).
Open Setup, then Bots. The list shows each bot’s name, its role, its voice and a status: Live · version N, Draft only or Archived.
Do this
Section titled “Do this”- Press New bot.
- Under Start from, choose Medicare fronter, Medicare verifier or Blank.
- Blank asks What does it do. Pick a role.
- Enter Name of the bot and Company the bot says it calls for. For a preset, an empty name uses the preset’s name.
- Press Create draft. You land in the editor with version 1.
Nothing is called with a new bot. It starts as a draft. Next: editing a bot.
| Role | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fronter | Makes the first call and finds out who is a fit. |
| Verifier | Confirms the details before a person is handed over. |
| Closer | Talks the person through the offer. |
The product also names Assistant, Trainer and Quality reviewer roles for bots. You create the first three from this screen. A Fronter hands to a Verifier, who hands to your team. See campaigns and steps.
Presets
Section titled “Presets”Medicare fronter and Medicare verifier are ready-made bots with a script, details to capture and hand-over conditions already filled in. Change whatever you like. The company name comes from what you type, else from your company name.
Versions
Section titled “Versions”Every change you want calls to use is a version.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | You can edit it. Calls do not use it. |
| Live | Published, and the version calls use now. |
| Published earlier | Published once, no longer live. |
- A bot has one live version at a time. Publishing a version makes it the live one.
- A published version can never be edited. Press Copy to a new draft to change it. There can be only one draft at a time.
- A version is the voice, the spec and the settings together.
What a campaign step uses
Section titled “What a campaign step uses”A campaign step points at a bot, not at a version. In the step’s Which bot list you only see bots with a live version. It says “Calls use version N of the bot”. When you publish a newer version, the next call uses it. A bot with no live version cannot take calls.
Naming is yours. A name like “Test fronter” or “Fronter, spring list” is a good way to tell experiments from real bots. You can rename a bot any time with Name in your list in the editor.
Who can edit
Section titled “Who can edit”Owners and admins. Supervisors, Quality reviewers and Compliance cannot change bots, and Setup is hidden from them. A platform operator can suspend a published version; see testing and publishing.
